Clear Aligners

What are Clear Aligners?

Clear Aligners are translucent trays composed of a specific material used to align teeth, like braces. Without the trouble of metal wires and brackets, they gently and steadily apply force to shift the teeth into the desired position.

Each patient receives a unique pair thanks to a computerized scan.

How does a Clear Aligner work?
  • A dentist or orthodontist will create a plan for tooth movement once they've decided how to fix your bite.
  • If you choose clear aligners, you will be fitted with several variations that gradually shift your teeth throughout therapy.
  • They are firmly fitted over the teeth and constructed of transparent plastic or acrylic.
  • However, they may be taken off for eating, cleaning, and flossing.
  • Every few weeks, you'll receive a fresh set of aligners to keep shifting your teeth in the direction you want them to go.

Who can get a Clear Aligner?

The best candidates for the invisible aligners are adults or teenagers since they are made specifically for a tight fit. A child's teeth require more work to straighten.

The clinician must keep in mind that young patients' lips are still growing and developing while planning therapy.

Patients with light to moderately crowded teeth or slight spacing concerns often utilize clear dental aligners.

Patients with significant crowding or spacing issues and severe under-, over-, or crossbites may require more involved care.
